I'm delighted to have been the winner of the Stefanie Price Sculpture Award held at this years Yardley Arts Centre in Northamptonshire.
Selected from an open national call out the judging panel of Anthony Spira, Director of MKG, David Mach and Amanda Lowther Director of the British Art Portfolio selected just under 200 pieces for the show.
All three of my works were selected for the exhibition but my work "Midnight" made in Portuguese Marble was the work that won the prize.
This was an excellently run exhibition and the very welcome prize money will help towards buying more stone for future projects.
I will be showing in the "Beyond Horizons" Exhibition in September. Held at Stoberry Park Garden, Wells, Somerset,BA5 3LD.
Open from 5th Sept- 4th October for full details please contact events@stoberrybeyondhorizons.co.uk
If you are in London this coming September I will also have a work on show at this year's Summer Show held at the Royal Society of Sculptor's on the Old Brompton Road.
The show will run from the 19th September to 28th November. The exhibition has been curated by acclaimed designer Henry Holland. The show titled “There’s No Place Like Home explores the idea of home through the language of sculpture. Henry says about the exhibition:
I am looking to bring together works that reflect comfort, memory, ritual and belonging. Works that consider the spaces we create around ourselves and the objects that quietly shape and bring joy to our everyday lives. From the intimate to the architectural, the show invites entrants to reflect on what home truly means to them personally, emotionally, physically and culturally.

In September there was a grand unveiling of my sculpture to commemorate the late great Irish painter Pauline Beick and her husband Pat Melia.
Commissioned by the family, discussions and initial proposed ideas were made back in the winter of 2024. The results of my work have been extremely well received. "Catching Nature’s Gift" sits on a reclaimed natural boulder looking out over Caragh Lake in County Kerry, Ireland. Two "sit" stones were also made for the site. I was instructed to carve a phrase "NOW" and "KEEP GOING" which were synonymous to Pauline and Pat.
Pauline Bewick was a celebrated figurative Irish artist. There are two national collections of her work in Ireland at Waterford and Killorglin. Well worth a visit.
I would like to share with you that I have been invited to have a solo show at the Northampton Museum and Art Gallery. This will be my first solo show in a municipal gallery.
Show dates are 17th January to 22nd March 2026. Please contact me if you would like to attend the Private View or to hear about some of the events that will run with this show.
In the meantime you can always get to see a small collection of my work at the following galleries or of course you book a studio appointment, tea and cake always available.
Don't forget sculpture and art is something that just keeps on giving - great for your "well being". I am happy to discuss how you can collect a Nicolas Moreton without feeling overstretched.
Do remember you can always get to see my work at other venues around the UK, if you are out and about during the winter.
